He was predeceased by: his parents, O. H. Sloan and Elvia Hood Sloan; his brother Mark; and his sister-in-law Karen Sloan. He is survived by: his brother Lester Sloan of Duffield, VA; his nephews, Jeffrey Sloan and Stephen (Barbara); his great-nieces, Makala Walters (Josh) of Church Hill, TN, Makenzie Bowen (Austin) of Gate City, Virginia., Nevaeh Lane of Gate City, Virginia. and Destiny Lane of Gate City, Virginia.; his nephews, Isaiah Sloan (Angel Ramey) of Duffield, VA and Trevor Darnell of Duffield, VA; and also, Andrew Walters, Ace Bowen and Aylexis Walters.
