James Earnest Fansler Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Earnest Fansler of Gate City, Virginia, who passed away on April 25, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lofton Fansler and Lillie Fansler; his wife Dorothy Hensley; and his siblings, Virgie Falin, Paul Fansler, I and Orville Fansler.

He is survived by: his children, Debbie Chapman (Craig), Jerry Fansler (Johnita) and Mike Fansler; his grandchildren, Amanda Porter, Malissa Fansler, Amber Lewis, Ashley Carter and Megan Carmack; his siblings, Stella Pierson (Jim) and Audley Fansler; and his sister-in-law Opal Thacker. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and other family members.
