He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Clary and Gracie Wright Clary; and his siblings, James, Aubrey, Randolph and Kathleen Wright.

He is survived by: his wife Lois Thomas Clary; his daughter Dr. Gail Clary (Jim Pearce) of Hendersonville; and his granddaughter Victoria (Christopher Hunt) of Flintstone, Georgia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
