It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Eugene Nuckolls Sr. of Galax, Virginia, born in Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away on August 8, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Garland and Virginia Witherow Nuckolls; and his brother Dr. James Nuckolls. He is survived by: his wife Janet Dolinger Nuckolls; his son William Nuckolls, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Sara of Frederick, Maryland; his grandson David Nuckolls; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Lily Nuckolls of Waynesboro, Virginia and Doreen Russell Dolinger. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
