He is survived by: his daughter Vera; his son-in-law Doug Brown of Glade Valley; his sons, Verl (Jewel Brown) and James (Evelyn Brown); his sister Ann; his brother-in-law Jackie Reeves of Galax, Virginia; his brother Raymond Brown of Winston-Salem; his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Brown of Washington, DC and Viola Brown of Redding, Pennsylvania; and his close friend Winfred Brown. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
