He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Hackler Brown; his daughter Lenzi; his son-in-law Avin Joines; his son Crockett Brown of Galax, Virginia; his sister Teresa Brown of Woodlawn, Virginia; and his grandchildren, Cameron and Emberlynn Brown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
