It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Myrtle Louise Stoneman Swain of Galax, Virginia, who passed away on April 1, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Cloyd Clayton; and her husband James L. Swain. She is survived by: her daughter Nancy P. Mitchell of Low Gap, NC. She is also survived by two grandchildren, five great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, several cousins, friends and her church family.
