He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldridge "Gabe" Delby and Ethel Blevins Delby; and his siblings, Betty Hodges, Coleen Midkiff, Gary Delby and Barry Delby.

He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Delby; his children, Wayne Delby, Liz (Scott Delby), Shelby (Derrick Gunter), Jennie (Nathan Hampton), April Largen (Sam Adams) and Heather (Eric Edwards); and his siblings, Olivia Taylor and Freddy (Mona Delby). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
