He is survived by: his wife Martha "Linda" McFarland; his sons, James McFarland (Monica) of Columbus, OH, Larry McFarland (Gerri) of Galax, VA, Billy McFarland (Cindy) of Max Meadows, VA and Mike McFarland (Linda) of Granite Falls, NC; his siblings, Linda Sue Graham (Frank) of Fries, VA, Becky Gray (June) of Galax, VA, Dorothy Graham (Boyd) of Galax, VA, Jody McFarland (Janet) of Galax, VA and Gene McFarland (Mina) of Aberdeen, MD; and his brother-in-law James Gillespie of Lovingston, VA. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
