He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold G. Davis and Naoma Burnett Davis. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca "Becky" Davis of Galax, Virginia; his son Ross Douglas Davis of Galax, Virginia; his sister Linda; his brother-in-law Nelson Galyean of Galax, Virginia; and his sister Loretta Jane Davis of Galax, Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
