He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank and Mary T. Plichta. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Higgins Plichta; his daughter Jill; his son-in-law Billy Griggs of Butner, NC; his grandson Grayson Jones of Wake Forest, NC; his brother John; his sister-in-law Linda Plichta; his nephew Jonathan; his niece Sarah; his sister Mary Ann; his brother-in-law Michael Brown; and his brother George Plichta. He is also survived by 3 step-granddaughters and 4 step great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chestnut Creek School of the Arts.
