She was predeceased by: her parents, Harve Ballard and Annie Mae Burnett Akers; her husband William Raymond Brewer; and her brother Harvey "Sonny" Akers. She is survived by: her daughter Melissa (James Gilbert); her grandsons, William Hernandez Guzman of Galax and Jaime Hernandez Guzman of Galax; her sister-in-law Nettie (Danny Robert Frost); her niece Patricia (Jerry Dowell); and her nephew Charles (Erin Akers).
