He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Dudley DeHart; his children, Edgar "Chip" Hampton DeHart Jr. (Tabitha) and Stephanie DeHart Carico; his grandchildren, Charles Robert DeHart (Rose Angela) and Heather Marie Sexton; his nephew Charles Scott DeHart; his siblings, Gretta Jean Purdue (Robert) and Charles Randolph DeHart (Brenda); and his friend Virginia.
