Cullen Dillard Lawrence Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Cullen Dillard Lawrence of Galax, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 7, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Amanda Melvinnie Taylor Lawrence and Lemuel H. Lawrence; his wife Ellen Orlean Hawks Lawrence; his son Charles Grant Lawrence; and his siblings, Mildred Campbell, Anna Byrd, Clifton Lawrence, Linwood "Doodle" Lawrence and Margaret Winesett.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Stephen Lawrence (Cynthia) and David Cullen Lawrence (Cindy); and his grandchildren, Timothy Scott Lawrence (Stephanie), Patrick Lawrence, Nicholas Lawrence, Hayley "Lucky" Lawrence, Logan Lawrence and Theodore Lawrence. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as countless friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his honor to the Hillcrest Baptist Church Building Fund or the Carilion Foundation Cancer Center.
