He was predeceased by: his parents, Malcom Shupe and Eva Rector Shupe; and his son Timmy Shupe. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Dills Shupe of Galax, Virginia; and his sister Bonnie (Junior Blackburn). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
