It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kay Frances Newman of Fries, Virginia, who passed away on January 31, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James Robert Newman. She is survived by: her children, Charlotte (Ricky Willard), Deborah (Rodney Bobbitt) and Danny Newman; her brother Harold Funk of Fries, Virginia; her grandsons, Shane (Megan Boyer) of Galax, Virginia, Allen (Heather Bobbitt) of Galax, Virginia and Jared Padgett of Galax, Virginia; and her great grandchildren, Hayley Bobbitt, Arilyn Padgett, Wyatt Padgett and James Daniel Boyer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
