He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow W. Cox and Gladys Eliza Hash Cox. He is survived by: his wife Doris Lee Cox; his stepdaughters, Diana Weiss of Missouri, Sonda Sheffey of Wytheville, Wanda Vaught of Wytheville and Curlen Melinda Martinson of Wisconsin; and his daughter Renee Slaughter of Florida. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
