He is survived by: his parents, Russell Martin and Estelle Burnett Martin; his daughter Traci Martin Pierce; his son-in-law Earl; his grandchildren, Ivory Pierce, Autumn Pierce, Patrick Waylon, Kristin Shaffner, Clint Vanover and Logan Shaffner; his great grandchild Branch Dixon; his siblings-in-law, Clara Nadine Reedy of Radford, Joan Martin, Jim Higgins of Galax and Peggy Richardson of Salem; and his close friends, Ernie, Joyce and Lilly. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
