She was predeceased by: her husband Robert A. Whitley; and her siblings, Nell Champion, Jean Bunch, Catherine Hurdle, Willy Honeycutt and William "Billy" Whitehurst.
She is survived by: her son Edward Allen, Jr. (Kathryn A. Allen); her grandsons, Robert L. Allen and Brandon L. Allen; and her sister-in-law Barbara Jean Barnes. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hunterdale Volunteer Fire Dept, 201 Delaware Rd, Franklin, VA 23851 for the numerous times they were a blessing to Mrs. Whitley.
