She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Edwards and Cora Edwards; her brother Walter "Pat" Edwards; and her son Gerry Elks. She is survived by: her husband Gerald Elks of Franklin; her son David (Sandra) of Lumberton, NC; her granddaughters, Jennifer Hamilton (Brandon), Kayla Smith (Corey) and Megan Elks; and her siblings, Aubrey Warren, Ruth Dail and Helen Chambers.
