He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Earl Hill and Ida Lue Joyner Hill; and his siblings, Joe Melvin Hill, Richard Hill and Jane Hicks.
He is survived by: his wife Bessie V Hill; his children, Lakesha Hill-Blakney (Fugon) of Richmond, VA, Larry L. Hill (Chiffon) of Conway, N. C. and Bruce Johnson (Monica) of Suffolk; his sisters, Ida E. Hill (Gerald) of Sedly, Patricia Thomas of Richmond, Renee Workman and Angela Hill of Richmond; his grandchildren, Shaiquan, Alonte, KaVonte, Kortez, Ke'Asia, Quanari, Amari and Kemarion; his great grandchild Karson; his siblings-in-law, Flecther Valentine Sr. (Diane) of Hampton and Denise Hill of Norfolk; and his close friend Linwood Jarrett of Branchville. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
