He is survived by: his wife Regina Kindred; his children, ShaTerra Norris (Raymond) of Navarre, Florida and Lamont Hill (Whitney) of Franklin, Virginia; his brother James Lee Kindred (Alice); his grandchildren, Kingston Norris, Tatiana Hill, Natalie Hill and Lamont Hill, Jr.; and his godchildren, DeMartin Miles and Frelicia Miles. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many caring co-workers and friends.

“Thoughts and prayers to his family. Mr. Kindred was a kind soul who retired from his first career as he was called upon to serve children. He made sure children had a school that was clean, a cafeteria table with enough chairs so everyone could sit. Students got to and from school each day no matter how full his bus was or how many trips it took. Southampton County Public Schools was a better place because of your years of service and kindness. Rest in Peace Mr. Kindred it was well deserved!”
