He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Powell of Franklin, Virginia, Cathy Watkins, Jacqueline Woodson (Kevin), Methia Babb (Myron), Kimberly Jernigan (John, III), Edgar Tyrone Dotson (Tameka) and Michael Dotson (Maricela); his grandchildren, Tiffany Powell, Latoya Hampton (Logan), Joey Powell, Tyrus Hassell, Keenan Hassell, Kevin Woodson, Jr., Courtney Woodson (Gene), Kierra Leavell, Faye Dotson, Kayla Dotson, Michaela Dotson, Michael Dotson, Jr., Nataliya Johnson, D'Quan Dunn, Dontez Ellis, Tionna Woodson, Daion Babb, Ma'Ryah Babb, A'miyah Babb, Za'Myrion Babb, LaKeya Dotson, Jaliyah Dotson, Lyn'Zariah Dotson and Eighteen; his sisters-in-law, Mae Dotson, Sarah Utley and Ethel Taylor; his nephew Greg Dotson; his cousin Virginia Majette; and his close friends, Larry Gaines, Dawes "Snookie" Orr, Herbert Beasley, Henry Olds, Jessie Chambliss, Melvin Bynum, Alvin Lynch, Roger Boone, Thomas "Bunchie" Scott Sr., William "Cracker Jack" Corbitt, Herbert Hunter, Barren Porter, Rev. “Today we remember our wonderful and talented cousin. God endowed Michaux with so many talents. When he sang and played, you were ushered into the Spirit of the Lord. He was kind and affectionate and showed love to his family. We could always count on him. He was there for us. So many people do not care about others but rather, are self-absorbed. Michaux was caring and available to whoever needed him Rest in peace dear cousin. You have been faithful. You fought the good fight. Gayle”
