He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Lilliam; his children, Jose "Joe" Vazquez (Emily), Nelson Vazquez (Barbara) and Michelle "Michy" Peña (Eric); his nieces, Rosa McGonigal (Art) and Sandra Drayer (Gary); his parents, Raúl Santiago Vazquez and Juana Catalina; his sister Raquel Suarez; his grandchildren, Victoria Lilliam Chartrand, Taylor Dominick Vazquez, Emilio Alan Vazquez, Anthony Raul Vazquez, Sophia Landers Vazquez, Julian Jose Vazquez, Hunter James Peña, Roman Tyler Peña, Lyla Jane Vazquez and Olivia Victoria Peña; his great grandchildren, Cole Alan Chartrand, Brayden Nelson Vazquez and Wesley Dominick Chartrand; and also, Roberto Vazquez, Omar Vazquez and Orlando Vazquez.
