He is survived by: his wife Rachel Phelps Stowe; his children, Christina Stowe Nance (Matthew), Sonya Evelyn Stowe, Christopher Everett Stowe (Casey) and Joshua Edward Stowe (Amber); his grandchildren, Evelyn Hope Stowe, Addyson Faith Stowe and Grace Stowe of Arizona; and his siblings, Carolyn Harper, Nancy Evans and Joel Lee Stowe (Donna).
