It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark Anthony Matherly of Dry Fork, Virginia, who passed away on June 4, 2020, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Leon Anderson Matherly; and his grandchildren, Jessica McConnell and Jordan McConnell. He is survived by: his mother Mary Chaney Whorley; his wife Marilyn Nichols Matherly; his daughters, Renee Craig of Dry Fork, Amy Fetters of Martinsville and Jennifer East of Roanoke, Virginia; his siblings, Star Bowling and Carl Crumpton; and his grandchildren, Blaine Conner, Brandon Craig, Ashley Alverson, Kelly Yates, Brooke Fetters and Kaleigh East. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
