She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis Childress and Elizabeth Anderson Childress; her husband Otis Martin; her children, Sheila Dodson Hunt, Laura Ann Dodson, Timothy Wayne Dodson and David Lee Dodson; her siblings, Minnie Anna Childress, Fannie K. Barksdale, Pearl Townes, Dollie M. Dodson, Little Tom Childress Sr. and Lionel Anderson; and her foster children, Rosa Thompson, David Glass, Clay Fuller and Cynthia Wimbush.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Dodson, Charles Dodson (Robin), Antonio Dodson (Nikki) of Dry Fork, VA, Raleigh Milton Dodson of Danville, VA and Carroll Dodson of Chatham, VA; her former husband Raleigh Dodson of Danville, VA; her sisters, Loretta Childress of Chatham, VA, Queenie Gregory of Altavista, VA and Sylvia Miller of Chatham, VA; her foster children, Phoebe Witcher, Jimmy, Percy Thompson and Lamont Adams; her daughter-in-law Judy Ann Dodson of Danville, VA; and her sisters-in-law, Eleanor Childress of Chatham, VA, Alma Dodson of Danville, VA, Carolyn Dodson of Chatham, VA, Margaret Robertson (Kenneth) of Chatham, VA and Violeen Dodson of Chatham, VA. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
