He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Vincent and Sarah Anderson Pearson Marks; and his brother Lewis Vincent Marks, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Garrett Marks; his children, Sherry Marks Dorrier (Travis) and Stephen Daniel Marks (Victoria); his grandchildren, Jordan Elizabeth and Andrew Wyatt; his sister Sandra Marks Russ; his mother-in-law Virginia P. Garrett; his sister-in-law Dorothy H. Marks; and his nieces, Wendy, Terry, Jessica, Vanessa and Katherine.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rocky Mt. Church, 348 Rocky Mount Road, Dillwyn, VA 23936.
