He is survived by: his children, Robert (Robin) and Virginia Whitten; his grandchildren, Gary Lee (Megan), Michael Rojas and Rebecca Whitten; his stepson Jeff Conley; and his siblings, Joseph Whitten (Lila), Danny Whitten, Kenny Whitten (Ann), Mattie Shifflet, Debbie White, Frieda Crews (Robbie) and Denise Thompson (Mitch). He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
