We bid farewell to Doris Ann Newby Motley (Danville, Virginia), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 27, 2024 at the age of 65. Doris Ann Newby touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nancy Giles Newby and Jesse B. Newby, Sr.; and her brother Jesse "JB" Newby, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Steve Motley; her sons, Derek Motley (Michelle) and Dustin Motley (Jessi); her grandchildren, Charlotte, Elisha, Levi and Corinne; her sister Carolyn Younger (Carroll); and her pets, Max, Lilly, Cocoa and Chevy. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Norris Funeral Service, Chatham Chapel (147 S Main St, Chatham, VA 24531). A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Grove Christian Church Cemetery.
