She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Millard Barr and Verna Richardson Barr; her husband Fred Carroll Mabe; and her siblings, Earl Baxter Barr, Paul Luther Barr and Joyce Barr Wallace.
She is survived by: her daughter Sheila M. Thomas (Tim Read) of Lebanon, VA; her granddaughter Amanda Thomas Helton (David) of Bristol, VA; her sisters-in-law, Geraldine Simcox Barr of Mountain City, TN, Thelma Mabe Greer (Stacy) of Taylor's Valley, VA and Gloria Barr of Opelika, AL; and her cousins, James Richardson of Taylor's Valley, VA and Ford Richardson of Damascus, VA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
