She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, James Clarence Garrett and Shirley "Dot" Reid Garrett; her husband John Robert "Bob" Cole; her sons, Jimmy Cole of Damascus, VA and Mike Cole (Jennifer) of Damascus, VA; her sisters, Becky Copenhaver (Bob) of Meadowview, VA and Annette Dorton (Jim) of Kingsport, TN; her grandchildren, Adam Cole (Brittany), Cody Cole (Brittany), Laurel Maynard (Ryan), Katie DiPietro (Phil), Rachel Cole and Cory Cornett; and her great grandchildren, Cole DiPietro, Kinzley DiPietro, Sophia Cole, David Cole, Prai Maynard and Maverick Cole. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
