She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Hogue and Tassie Hogue; her husband Rogers A. Kirby; and her daughter Rosa Fowlkes. She is survived by: her sons, Walter, William, Roy, Calvin, Carl and Mark Kirby; her daughters-in-law, Vernell Kirby, Syburba Kirby and Gwen Kirby; and her siblings, Walter Hogue and Mae Whitfield. She is also survived by great grandchildren.
