William Bunting wrote a sympathy message

“I am proud and pleased to have gotten to know Bill a little over the past few years, and had the chance to talk with him many times. He was a force of nature that always wanted to do rather than talk about doing. He "walked the talk" as well as anyone I have ever known. Many will miss his dynamic personality and spirit. The Gen. George S. Patton quote may apply to Bill that "It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived."”
