He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Heckel and Hilda Chenoweth Heckel; his wife Winifred D. Heckel; his sons, Timothy B. Heckel and Philip A. Heckel; his sisters, Kitty Eicholtz and Debbie Williams; his granddaughter Christie Ann Heckel; and his daughter-in-law JoAnne Heckel.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ann, Mary, Jane, Carolyn, Tom, Danny and Dave; and his children, Richard Edward Heckel (Marilyn), Brenda Heckel Shelburne (Eli), Charles Lynn Heckel (Patti), Stephen Wayne Heckel and Cathy Heckel Colletti (Tom). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many more friends.
