He is survived by: his wife Judy; his son Barrett Porter Smith Sr.; his daughter-in-law Neva Turano-Smith; his grandchildren, Barrett Porter Smith Jr. and Maria Elena Smith; and his daughter Kristin Leigh Smith.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory (2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834). A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Southlawn Memorial Park (1911 Birdsong Road S., Prince George, Virginia 23805).
