We are sad to announce that on January 28, 2022, at the age of 92, Evelyn Irene Bays Holbrook (Coeburn, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James H. Bays and Martha Holbrook Bays; her husband Mack Cecil Holbrook; and her stepchildren, Loady Palmer Holbrook and Ruth Smith.
She is survived by: her stepdaughter Dixie Mitchell (late Dale Mitchell) of Castlewood, Virginia; her stepchildren-in-law, Rita Holbrook (late Palmer "Bud" Holbrook) of Kingsport, Tennessee and O'Dell Smith (late Ruth Smith) of Lake Wells, Florida; her stepgrandchildren, Mitzi Johnson (Gregg) of Castlewood, Derek Smith (Lisa) of Orlando, Palmer Holbrook (Debi) of Kingsport and Kimberly Milligan (John) of Iowa; and her nephew Charles Russell Evans. She is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Due to COVID-19, the family requests those attending the Visitation and Services to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
