She was predeceased by: her parents, Hunter Bruce and Verna Faye Deacon (Bryant); her grandparents, Kenton and Ava Bryant; and her cousin John Showers.
She is survived by: her significant other Lois Ann Hartman; her siblings, Dennis Michael Deacon (Molly) of Callaway and Joann Deacon Grissom (Mike) of Roanoke; her sister-in-law Sue Hartman; her godchild Kim Huffer Miller (Jerry); her cousins, Connie Anthony (Tommy), Phil Bryant (Bobbi), Judy Bryant Carter and Butch Showers (Laurie); and her friends, Jennifer Perry Botkin, Wendy Hunt, Margaret, Judy, Betty, Connie and Pat Huffer.
