He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Frank LeRoy Goodman and Edna Earle Goodman (Walton). He is survived by: his sisters, Caroline Goodman and Sarah; his brother-in-law Art Glover; his brother Frank LeRoy Goodman, Jr.; his children, John Hamilton Goodman of Weaverville, N. C. and Katharine "Katie" Le (Quoc Le) of Reston; his granddaughters, Megan Le and Brianna Le; and his friend Tana Jencks. He is also survived by two nieces, one nephew and several cousins.
