She was predeceased by: her father Henry Blair Southern; her husband Elliot Foster Brusseau Sr.; her mother Juanita Lily Southern of Blacksburg; her parents-in-law, Harold Everett Brusseau Sr. and Hazel Williams Brusseau; her grandparents, John Wesley Southern, Grace Mae Southern, Cloyd Palmer Price and Maude Beulah Price; her brother Phillip Dale Southern; her sister-in-law Barbara Williams Southern; and her stepchildren, Elliot Foster Brusseau Jr., Gary Lee Brusseau and Audrey Elizabeth Riley Brusseau.
She is survived by: her siblings, Darlene Southern Vaden of Blacksburg, Larry Southern (Betty Southern) of Eggleston and Wanda Southern Geske (Rob Geske) of North Carolina; her stepchildren, Richard Brusseau, Frederick Wayne Brusseau (Joyce Brusseau), Harold Everett Brusseau, Deborah Brusseau Hale (Walter Hale) and Melanie Brusseau (Brian Bell); and her friends, Margret Crigger, Allison Crigger DePoy and Peggy Williams. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren, 2 soon to be born great grandsons.
