He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Mayo and Elnora Thurston (Tootsie); and his sister Norma Broaddus Zoeller. He is survived by: his daughters, Teri Thurston Sparks (Brad) and Susan Thurston Lundberg (Dan); his wife Shirley; and his grandchildren, Logan Sparks, Nathan, Nolan and Hayley Lundberg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
