It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Wheeling Smith of Christiansburg, Virginia, who passed away on February 29, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Michael Lowman; her parents, William Howard Wheeling and Sadie Vest (Robert "Bob" Smith); and her sister Patricia Bryant. She is survived by: her son John Lowman (Beth); her granddaughter Elizabeth; her stepson Brian Canode (Ginger); her stepsister Carol Trigg (Bud); her niece Brittany; her stepdaughters, Kim and Julie; and also, Amy, Granville, Julie, Linda, Dean and Connie.
She requested donations be made in her memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
