With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ann Hornbarger Carter of Christiansburg, Virginia, born in Davy, West Virginia, who passed away on March 18, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. J. D. Carter; her parents, Joe Hornbarger and Margaret Hornbarger; her sister Polly Wilson; and her son Larry Douglas Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Scott Carter (Karen) and Kaye Cooper; her daughter-in-law Johanna Carter (Larry Carter); and her grandchildren, Jessica Drew Carter (Aaron Da San) and Justin Douglas Cooper.
In lieu of flowers, Ann requested considering making a donation to the Montgomery County Animal Care and Adoption Center, or another no-kill animal shelter of your choice.
