He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Carpenter and Thalia Carpenter (Merritt); and his siblings, Curtis Carpenter Jr. and Frances Thornton. He is survived by: his nephew Perry Carpenter (Louwana) of Virginia Beach, VA; and his nieces, Robin Knight (Ed) of Ivor, VA and Retta Isdell (Clifton) of Bloxom, VA. He is also survived by several great nieces, nephews, and cousins.
