It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anthony Cameron Wailes Sr. of Chincoteague Island, Virginia, born in Smyrna, Delaware, who passed away on February 10, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Barkley and ThelmaWailes; and his grandparents, Blooma Parker Wailes and Hughe B. Wailes. He is survived by: his wife Donna Wailes of Chincoteague Island, VA; his children, Gwen Hampton of Frederica, DE, Regina Babcock (Gary) of New Castle, DE, Chelsie Wailes of Temperanceville, VA, Anthony C. Wailes, Jr. of Frederica, DE and John E. Wailes of Pigeon Forge, TN; and his siblings, Ellis C. Wailes, Walter West, Theodore West, William West (Missy), Thelma Green (James), Theodora Wailes and Zona M. Ross. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; host of nieces and nephews.
