She was predeceased by: her parents, Nathan Shields and Edna Shields Hanley; her husband Albert Joey Tarr; her son Johnny S. Tarr; and her siblings, Ginny Clark, Peggy Jester Carpenter and John W. Shields, Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Billy Joe Tarr (Tammy), Jerry Tarr (Patty) and Leda Scullion (Joe) of Chincoteague Island. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
