He is survived by: his wife Virginia Smith (Ginger); his children, Virginia Van Liere (Jesse) of Raleigh, NC and Thomas Fred Smth, III (Jessica Penner) of Brooklyn, NY; his aunts, Nancy Elliott and Lisa Reisner; his uncle Melvin Boyd; his mother-in-law Margaret Cawood; and his sister-in-law Donna Corker. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
