It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Merkel Dance of Chesterfield, Virginia, who passed away on October 21, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Franklin D. Dance Sr. (Frank); her parents, Claude C. Merkel Sr. and Mary S. Merkel; her siblings, Claude C. Merkel Jr., Robert Merkel and Mary E. Young; and her son-in-law Archie E. Wilkinson III.
She is survived by: her children, F. David Dance Jr. (Pam), Sheila D. Wilkinson, Kathleen D. Huddleston (Robert) and Kenneth L. Dance Sr. (Cristy). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
