She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Carlton and Sadie W. Lindsay; her husband Richard F. Ammons, Sr.; her son Doug Poindexter; and her siblings, Carlton, Rayford Lindsay and Henrietta L. Pender.
She is survived by: her sons, Greg Poindexter (Pam), Steve Poindexter (Linda) and Jay Ammons (Carol); her grandchildren, Tyler, Ryan, Tucker, Rachel, Blake, Layne and Hunter; her great grandchildren, Owen, Troy, Paisley, Tek, Bodie and Piper; and her sister Emily L. Brown. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
