It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nona Shorter Powell of Chesterfield, Virginia, who passed away on July 8, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Franklin Hugh Powell. She is survived by: her sons, Blaine Powell (Michelle), Kendall Powell (Amy) and Brent Powell (Ashley); her grandchildren, Cody, Austin, Eva, Trent and Melanie; her great grandchildren, Ariah, Arbor and Aurora; her brothers, Norwood "Wood" Shorter and Ellis "Kenny" Shorter; and her sister-in-law Evelyn Sawyer (Danny).
